In the United States launched an Atlas V rocket with two military vehicles
The US company United Launch Alliance on Saturday launched a heavy Atlas V launch vehicle from the cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral, Fla., With two military vehicles.
The launch was broadcasted on the company's website.
The start was given at 19:13 on the time of the Eastern coast of the USA.
Since 2002, this is the 77th launch of Atlas V. "In one minute and 40 seconds after the launch, the flight passes normally," the company said.
CBAS is designed to enhance the capabilities of the existing grouping of US military communications satellites. As explained by ULA, this device is designed for serial data transmission through a relay link of such satellites.
EAGLE, according to the company, is an experimental platform designed to demonstrate the maneuverability of a spacecraft capable of delivering up to six different cargoes to a geostationary orbit. This device is equipped with technological developments, designed to find abnormal phenomena in space and make a characterization of potential collisions with small space bodies.
ULA was founded in 2006. It is a joint venture of aviation giants Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
