Ilon Mask showed a spaceship for the delivery of tourists to the moon
The founder of the company SpaceX Ilon Mask presented photos of the new ship Dragon V2, designed to deliver space tourists to the moon.
In the pictures published in the inventor's account on Twitter on May 21, it is clear that the development is a capsule with large portholes.
In addition, Mask posted a photograph with a view from inside the cabin of the ship, where the test is conducted by NASA astronaut Sunita Williams.
As noted by the general director of SpaceX, now Dragon V2 is being tested in an anechoic chamber to study the electromagnetic compatibility and the health of all electrical systems. Then the device will be tested in a thermal vacuum chamber.
The new spacecraft will make the first flight with two tourists on board at the end of 2018, and the constant flights, the company assure, the device will perform already in the spring of 2019.
On May 22, the Falcon 9 launch vehicle will launch from the Vandenberg Space Center in California, which will deliver five Iridium NEXT communication satellites and two American-German Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment Follow-On (GRACE-FO) satellites.
