The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has protested against the announcement of US plans to introduce new import duties on Chinese goods for a total of $ 200 billion.
The relevant message is published on the website of the Chinese Ministry.

"This is completely unacceptable, and we express our strong protest," the press service of the Ministry of Commerce said. The department noted that Washington's plans to introduce additional import duties on a new group of Chinese export goods infringe upon the rights of the PRC, harm the world economy and the US itself.

The report says that China is shocked by the "irrational" act of the United States. To protect their interests, the Chinese government will have to take countermeasures.

"We call on the international community to jointly defend the rules of free trade and support the world trade system. We will immediately file a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) about unilateral decisions of the United States, "the report said.

Earlier, the administration of President of the United States Donald Trump prepared a new list of Chinese goods, which will impose duties in 10%. The corresponding list is published on the website of the US trade mission. In the list there were more than 6 thousand items. Tariffs are planned to increase on seafood, fruits and vegetables, grain, tobacco, security alarms and car parts from China.
