The American pharmacy network CVS began selling telemedicine services
One of the largest in the US medical holdings CVS Health, owning a pharmacy and clinical networks, announced the launch of its own telemedicine service.
The MinuteClinic Video Visits service will be available 24/7 and will help patients at the age of two years cope with minor ailments, injuries and dermatological problems.
The service was developed in conjunction with the remote medical service provider Teladoc. The potential client of MinuteClinic Video Visits can take advantage of the new option of the CVS Pharmacy application already operating in the pharmacy network and fill out a questionnaire on the state of health. The service itself will select a certified specialist who will get acquainted with the patient's questionnaire and hold a video consultation. A prescription medication prescribed by a doctor can be obtained by the patient at a convenient pharmacy point of the network.
Consultation MinuteClinic Video Visits costs $ 59, and in the coming months, the company clarifies, the service will be included in insurance programs. While the service operates in nine states and the District of Columbia, but by the end of 2018, as promised by CVC, will become available to residents throughout the country.
